NEBRASKA CORN CHECKOFF UPDATE

NCB Website Updated:  The Nebraska Corn Board (NCB) recently updated their website and added a page of statistical graphs and charts.  The new page will allow viewers to see updated graphs on various aspects of supply and demand of Nebraska corn.  The new page can be found under the “Nebraska Corn Facts” tab and click on the Facts and Charts page.  

NCB Recognizes Individuals:  During the recently held Nebraska Ag Classic and Nebraska Cattlemen Convention, the Nebraska Corn Board took time to recognize various individuals.  Recognized and the award received were:

Greg Ibach, NCB Ag Achievement
Phil High, NCB Ethanol Award
Michael Kelsey, 2007-2008 NCB Livestock Award
Ken Radjes, NCB Media Award
Craig Uden, 2008-2009 NCB Livestock Award

VeraSun Bankruptcy Resource Page added to NCGA website:  The National Corn Growers Association (NCGA) has added a resource page to their website allowing viewers to gather information on the VeraSun bankruptcy.  Viewers can go to http://www.ncga.com/verasun and see various fact sheets and briefing papers on the latest information.

Nebraska Ag Classic, Listening Session Held:  The fourth annual Nebraska Ag Classic was recently held in Kearney, NE where producers and exhibitors had an opportunity to hear the latest on a range of topics.   Also held during the Ag Classic was the annual Nebraska Corn Board Listening Session in which producers were given the opportunity to discuss aspects of the Nebraska Corn Board.  The Ag Classic is a joint event of twelve Nebraska associations and commodity boards.
